After the day of fasting, we take iftar which are too much deep fried and greasy. This is not good for health. As a result many fall sick and miss the important fasting of holy Ramadan. In the past I used to take greasy food during iftar, but due to its bad impact I have stopped taking such food. If we become a little conscious, we can avoid many health problems not only during Ramadan, but for all times. We just have to be careful about what we are taking during the time of iftar.
Instead of deep fried food we can enjoy various kinds of juice and fresh fruits. Thanks to the tough stance by the government against food adulteration, now we see some chemical-free fruits in the market. Dates are very good source of energy which remain as a must item in our Iftar menu. We can go for grilled potato instead of traditional potato chop. We may include noodles, pasta or rice in our Iftar as it is very fulfilling and healthy. Ramadan is very important for us; so we must try to stay fit and healthy during this time so that we can devote ourselves in prayers. As the Ramadan fast only extends from dawn to dusk, we have plenty of time to replenish energy and we must use it to our own advantage and enjoy the spiritual and physical blessings the Ramadan offers us.
