I was on way to my sister's house at Zia colony from Mohakhali yesterday. It takes at best 10 minutes by bus to reach the destination but it took me around an hour and a half. I was waiting for a bus to get on board but failed because the buses were already overloaded and it seemed a few standing people on the door may fall down. A good portion of our time is passed when we try to take a bus ride.
A few staff buses crossed us without boarding a single people in those although the buses were returning to their destination finishing their duties. Somehow, I could manage a staff bus and got on board with many others but in the meantime I lost more than an hour. I realised that we don't need so many high-rise buildings, so many universities, hospitals, and offices in Dhaka. The administration should be decentralised. On the other hand, public facilities should increase in the city. People have been suffering from so many problems across the country. So, the ministers should work for the people sincerely, honestly and without any delay.
