Bangladeshi gang leader arrested

It is good news that a gang leader of Bangladeshi origin who was responsible for incidents of abductions, torture and ransom was arrested at the Dhaka airport when he was deported by the Iranian authority. Nannu is the name of the arrested person. I hope more such hardcore criminals who are active in our country will be arrested so that the rate of such crimes comes down. Many such gangs are reported to be operating in the Middle East and they have become a symbol of fear for the Bangladeshis who are living and working abroad.

It is good to know that finally actions are being taken against such organised crime circles. Such criminals are discouraging our youths to go abroad and work to change their lives. The expatriate Bangladeshis are playing a vital part to take our economy to newer heights and they must be protected at any cost.  I hope the government will step up its international cooperation in this regard so that a safe environment prevails for the Bangladeshi expatriates. I hope the court of law will award the severest punishment for criminals like Nannu to prevent others from being involved in such heinous crimes.
