Bashir Ahmed breathes his last

Legendary singer Bashir Ahmed has silently passed away from this mortal world. He is one of the finest playback male singers of our film industry. He also sang in Hindi, Urdu and Nepalese languages with equal ease and melody. His voice touched the heart of music lovers and many of his songs are still very much alive and everlasting in the heart of the common people. Bashir Ahmed was born in Kolkata in 1940 and migrated to Bangladesh. He got immense popularity in Pakistani Urdu movies. Bashir was also a poet and a lyricist, with a pseudonym BA Deep.
The death of Bashir Ahmed has brought a glorious chapter of music to end. Bashir sang many beautiful songs like Ami saat sagor pari diya, Dekona amake tumi, jarey jabi judi ja and many more. Bangladeshi movie passed its golden time during the seventies and eighties and we rarely hear magic in voices like that of Bashir Ahmed. I love to listen to his songs in my leisure time. As a fan of Bashi Ahmed, I pray for the salvation of his departed soul and my deep condolence to his bereaved family. May Allah put his soul in heaven!
