Being considerate to others

One day, as I was walking near my house, and I unexpectedly encountered a road blocked by bamboo sticks. Without causing any commotion, I simply took a U-turn. The lane was obstructed because a resident in the area was preparing for a wedding feast. This type of blatant insensitivity is pervasive throughout Dhaka, and we hardly express surprise when encountering such activities.
In the name of matrimonial celebrations, people organise musical programmes that often extend well beyond midnight, causing distress to those living nearby. Regrettably, we often neglect to consider how our actions might affect others.
A bit of consideration for others has the potential to transform our society for the better. If we cultivate a habit of being considerate in our individual lives, this ethos may be shared by others at national level. It is conceivable that our political leaders could be positively influenced, leading to increased courtesy, gentleness, and consideration toward each other. As the great Chinese philosopher Confucius wisely stated, "Consideration for others is the basis of a good life, a good society."
