Benefits of walking


We all know that walking is a good form of exercise. If we walk 10,000 steps every day we cover 5.0 miles, which will help us keep in good shape. There are many apps in the smartphone which will keep account of our steps and help us fulfil our everyday target. Many people feel discouraged to walk due to dust and dirt problem. But if health is our priority, it will be beneficial for our health to take up walking. Walking also keeps us cheerful and takes off depression from our mind.
Walking takes good care of our health, keeps our bones and cardiovascular system in good position. Walking is a great way to improve or maintain our overall health. Just 30 minutes' walk every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. It can also reduce our risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, type-2 diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers. Unlike some other forms of exercise, walking does not require any special equipment or training. We do not necessarily have to keep a time separate for walking as we can do it anytime and anywhere without disrupting our regular life.
