Bomb kills two Pakistani soldiers

MIRANSHAH, Pakistan, Aug 16 (AFP): At least two soldiers were killed and four injured Thursday when a bomb hit a Pakistani army convoy in a troubled tribal district near the Afghan border, the military said.
The explosion occured at Spinwam, about 30 kilometres (20 miles) northeast of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan tribal district where Pakistani forces are battling Al-Qaeda and other Islamic militants.
"Two soldiers were martyred and four others were injured in the attack," senior military spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad told AFP.
