In one upazila in Patuakhali district, there are two bridges that the local people cannot use, because the approach road to the bridge has never been built. The locals only heave a sigh of discontent as they see or talk about the bridge. This was shown in two photographs published in a daily on December 05. This is a classical case of "cart before the horse" in more senses than one.
Whatever may be the reason behind non-completion of the approach road, I shall request the concerned authorities to pay a little attention and complete the job without any further loss of time. I only hope that the matter comes to the notice of the local MPs and the concerned Minister that they can set the ball rolling. May be this may result in having the approach road completed within the next couple of years.
