Brutality and crime in society

Crime and cruelty are increasing in our society as we often see the offenders getting away with their criminal acts and nothing is happening to them. Rather the crooked criminals are left at large and they continue committing the same crimes over and over again. This has given a rise to an alarming rate of crime and brutality in society. Sadly, society does not offer any encouragement for the citizens to raise their voice against crime collectively and the number of the criminals is increasing. More importantly, the criminals are getting undue indulgence from powerful quarters and occupying positions of power and influence. Dishonest and corrupt people once hated and forsaken by our society appeared to have reversed the scene in their favour. We now have very little choice other than swarming around the devils to get our jobs done. We line up behind them as we know that they have the power and money to make anything possible.
Morality and honesty have gone into hiding and are reduced to mere catchwords found in and restricted to books and movies. Ironically though, honesty and integrity are looked upon as weakness and incapacity. Society as a whole has been incapacitated by the dominance of wrong-doers. Honest people are left in the woods crawling for survival. Corruption has spread throughout the length and breadth of the city. This is true not only for Bangladesh but also for most of the developing countries of the world. When people find that the criminals are getting away with their crimes, they lose their respect for law and take law into their hands whenever they can as we often see criminals die or are seriously injured from mass beating or lynching by the crowd. Such incidents are on the rise and we have to change the spectacle.
