Certificates of fake freedom fighters must be revoked

I am glad to know that the government is taking steps to revoke the certificates of around 200 fake freedom fighters who are public servants; but it is sad to note that the government have not decided about taking any punitive steps against the offenders who submitted false freedom fighter certificates. Now we are living in the age of computer and internet and the government should make the data of freedom fighters digitalized. All fake freedom fighters must be identified and their certificates must be revoked. Those public servants who have been retired must face the music and the case of fraud against them must be lodged. The numbers of fake freedom fighter certificate holders are unknown but if a fair investigation is conducted then I am sure the number will astound us. The government's decision to extend the retirement age of the freedom fighters has sparked the tendency of submitting applications by the public servants to the liberation war affairs ministry. I hope the real freedom fighters get the honour and respect they highly deserve as many of them have been living a miserable life in their old age. It is indeed shameful that some unscrupulous people have taken such path to gain some monetary benefits and they should face stiff punishment for their wrongdoing.
