Changed office hours
August 25, 2022 00:00:00
To save electricity and reduce traffic jams, the government has changed office hours. Now the government offices will run from 8 am to 3 pm, transactions of banks from 9 am to 3 pm and educational institutions will be closed on Fridays and Saturdays. The bank officials have been asked to leave offices by 5 pm. This will indeed help many bank officials ensure balance between work and life.Earlier theywere used to working late hours, and returned home late.
Just following this office hour is not enough to save energy. The new office hours will be beneficial when everyone is cautious about using electricity, and AC in offices and at home.
It is crucial to monitor the benefits of the implementation of such decisions. How much electricity has been saved and how much traffic congestion has been reducedcan be assessed on weekly basis. It is important to develop a habit of going to bed early and rising from bed early. By doing so, the officials can do their duties properly and make that enjoyable. A good sleeping habit will be helpful for us to develop as a healthy nation.
Because of the changed office hour, many may miss morning time exercise. They will possibly do exercise in the afternoon or evening which is also recommended by many physicians. These officials will now be able to mix with people of the community often.
