Children need more parental attention
April 14, 2022 00:00:00
Life is busy, especially for working parents. As the days go by, our other priorities seem to take precedence over quality family time. We are now engaged with so many tasks, deadlines, stresses and anxieties that we can no longer spend some time with our children. The escalating costs of living have made most of us workaholic. We work from morning till night only to ensure a secure life for our children. When a working parent returns home s/he usually becomes too tired to give time to children. It is affecting children's mental growth.
Gone are the days when parents used to tell their toddlers stories before bedtime. It has become a common trend these days parents instantly hand their smartphones or other compatible devices to their children to keep them pacified. The children who grow up watching these gadgets usually encounter a number of issues including eyesight damage and obesity. As parents, if we want to give our children an ideal atmosphere, we must spend some quality time with them. Children who are spending more time with their parents and families are less likely to participate in risky behaviour. Showing your children that you love and care for them helps keep them mentally and emotionally strong. Children spending more quality time with their families are more likely to be physically healthy.
