Children with autism require special attention

The autistic children of our country are generally living a neglected life and they need urgent attention from the people and the state to enable them to live a normal life. Many parents of autistic children blame themselves for their children's condition and live a frustrated life. The autistic children need sufficient schools. The tuition fees of special schools for autistic children are high and middle class people cannot afford it. The situation can improve if the government comes forward to reduce the burden of the guardians. It is heartening to see that autism awareness is increasing in our country. The media should also portray the scenario more clearly so that the problems of the autistic children are understood by people at large. Autism is a development disorder. Autistic children have difficulty in verbal and nonverbal communication. Let us hope scientists will be able to detect the exact causes of autism soon and make a breakthrough in the medical treatment of these unfortunate children.
