Every other day we read about the news of mugging incidents. The frequency of muggings is rising sharply in the city. The common people do not feel it safe to draw money from banks. The criminals, most of the time, do not get caught. So they are becoming daring day by day.
A few criminal gangs are operating in different areas, and if the law-enforcing agency members make a list of them and later conduct operations or hunt them down, the number of these unwarranted incidents will go down significantly. Businessmen should avoid carrying big amounts of cash and try to pay salary to their employees through bank accounts as it will cut down the risk of carrying huge amount of cash.
The mobile bankers should reduce their charges of sending money, as it will encourage people to use the service more. The citizens need to take more precautions when they visit the banks as their precaution will discourage criminals from taking risks. The government should take effective steps and make a crime map of Dhaka city, so that the common people are able to know which areas of the city are more crime-prone and they will be more conscious while moving across the areas. It is high time we fought against crime together to make the capital free of crime.
