City elections: Positive impact

The excitement over the upcoming city elections is rising. People of Dhaka and Chittagong are waiting anxiously with a hope that everything will take place in a peaceful and orderly manner.  It is a very important election for both the major political parties. I hope that calm will prevail and our politics will become more people- and election-oriented. I hope the ruling party will exercise restraint and the opposition will refrain from political programmes like hartal and blockade. Hopefully, the citizens of Dhaka and Chittagong will choose the right candidates.
