Clean Dhaka campaign

A few days ago, I saw on my Facebook pages the pictures of foreigners cleaning Dhaka city and it created a lot of buzz in the social media. I thanked heavens that finally the citizens of Dhaka realised that instead of waiting for the city corporations to start the cleaning campaign, they took the responsibility on themselves to start the campaign and get the ball rolling. One thing that came to my mind instantly is that unless we do stop littering wastes here and there indiscriminately, we cannot expect our city to be clean and beautiful. We must understand that the city we live in is our home and it is our duty to keep our home clean and tidy and encourage others to do the same. Surely the students of the University of Japan deserve our thanks and gratitude for bringing to the fore the important issue of cleanliness. The government and corporate houses, schools and universities should now come forward and participate in the campaign of clean and green Dhaka and take it forward. We should learn to live without damaging our nature and the nature should be protected against all man made hazards. The social media can play an important role in making Dhaka clean and livable by world standards. We should all contribute to the best of our capability as public awareness and enthusiasm are key factors to make a place clean and beautiful.
