Cloud of unrest moving away from politics

Like all peace-loving citizens of Bangladesh, I am indeed delighted to see that the political situation of the country has taken a turn towards the better. This has happened particularly in view of the upcoming city corporation elections. After three months of long and severe political turmoil, peace is returning in the country. The United Nation has also expressed its satisfaction over the diminishing political unrest. We hope, democracy will take its roots in the country and instead of squabbling with one another, we shall be guided by peace and sanity. We hope that, with the elections of the city corporations, the voters will get back their voting rights and will be to elect their representatives in a free and fair manner. The government should ensure that the opposition will not be harassed politically and there will be a level playing field for all. The investors should also get the feeling that the economy is back on track and businesses can be transacted peacefully and profitably. It is encouraging that the ruling party has taken a soft stance and allowed the office of the opposition to open which had been under lock and key for last three months. I think both the ruling party and the opposition have learnt their lessons from the unrest of last three months and they will now settle every issue across the table which will help save life and property of the common people.
