Congratulations to Rubana Huq

Rubana Huq, managing director of Mohammadi Group, has been elected the president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA). She is the first female president of BGMEA. A businessperson and newspaper columnist, she has modern outlook which could bring changes to the garment sector of the country.

Her husband late Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Annisul Huq was also in the same role at BGMEA. Thus she has prior understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the president position.

Congratulations, Rubana Huq! We are proud of you. You are a source of inspiration for us. We hope the workers of the garments sector will lead better lives. We believe garment business of the country will flourish further in the coming days.
