Countdown to World Cup football

The countdown to the World Cup football is finally ending and the world is entering the euphoric phase lasting one long month. When we go outside, we inevitably experience the World Cup ambience and I love it. Bus, car, motorcycle and even rickshaws are decorated with the flags of Brazil and Argentina. Looking at the scene in Bangladesh and the enthusiasm of Bangladeshi football fans it appears that only these two teams are playing.

Professional thieves are going to experience a downfall in their income as their nightly business will be interrupted by the football fans who will stay awake long after the midnight just to watch a World Cup game. I am sure with each passing day we will witness more football frenzy in our country. The World Cup football is always a big occasion for Bangladesh as well as the people around the globe as it comes only after a four-year break and no one wants to miss it. No sport event can get bigger attention than this. Everyone is guessing who may lift this coveted trophy and there is no dearth of speculation. The World Cup has made our newspapers more colourful and entertaining. It creates a fraternity among the nations.  It reminds us in the core of heart that all human beings are same and they love anything that is good.
