Creating awareness to stop child marriage

Child marriage is a social ailment that deeply affects Bangladeshi communities. Despite legal provisions for punishment, the prevalence of child marriage remains high due to a lack of awareness. Early marriage poses extreme health risks for women, especially during pregnancy. Besides, newborns of child brides often suffer from various health issues. Additionally, child marriages frequently result in divorce and even death, contributing to numerous family problems. Legal enforcement alone is insufficient to eradicate child marriage.
To effectively combat child marriage, collective awareness and action are essential. It is crucial to educate everyone in the village about the harmful consequences of child marriage. Not only young girls but also boys are victims of this practice, often burdened with family responsibilities at an immature age. Through united efforts, society can overcome the curse of child marriage. By raising awareness and working together, we can protect the health and future of our children, ensuring a brighter, more equitable future for all.
