Currency notes

Our currency notes issued by Bangladesh Bank are excellent in terms of size, colour and designs. But we are often confused with similar sizes and looks of different notes and sometimes make payment wrongly.
Recently I faced a few odd situations like many others. While paying rickshaw puller his fare the other day, I paid a Tk.20 note. As the fare was Tk.15, the rickshaw puller who was supposed to return me Tk.5, gave me a Tk.50 note instead and was pedalling away. I immediately called him back, informed him of his mistake and handed the note back. The poor rickshaw puller thanked me profusely and left. On another occasion, I paid a CNG driven auto rickshaw driver a Tk.100 note misjudging it as a Tk.500 note. For some time the driver stared at me with skewed eyes and I immediately realized my mistake. Immediately I paid him a Tk.500 note and took the change. The notes are so similar in size and colour that one can not be blamed if he or she makes similar mistakes as I did. I would like to request the concerned authorities to please look into matter and take appropriate steps as deemed necessary.
