Dilapidated road in front of Mouchak market
June 27, 2014 00:00:00
Mouchak market is one of the popular shopping spots and the crossing in front of it is a populous traffic hub in the city. But it is indeed sad to see that the thoroughfare there is in a total rundown state. The road is totally shattered and we see a long trail of traffic jam there all the time. This causes immense sufferings to the commuters and the shoppers alike.
Due to broken road the speed of vehicles comes close to zero in the area. If the road is repaired, the gridlock will be greatly reduced there. Now the holy month of Ramadan is coming and soon we will witness more crowds of iftar and Eid shoppers there. It is not understood how an important road link there remains neglected for such a long time. If an important road in the capital remains in such a dilapidated condition what is the picture of the rest of the country. I hope the authority concerned will look into the matter and take urgent steps to repair the rood so that during Ramadan the sufferings of the common people get lessened to some extent.
