Disquieting report in International Business Times

May 07, 2014 00:00:00

I would like to draw you attention to a piece of news that is now in wide currency, simultaneously in the UK and Bangladesh. This matter has been rated quite highly by International Business Times, this being their second coverage on the matter. As you would appreciate, the crux of the fight between the parties is around 'rule of law' in Bangladesh. Eventually, the alleged non-compliance to court orders by the government of Bangladesh may result in loss of confidence of international investors and foreign governments.

The recent press conference of TIB also fuelled the momentum on alleged corruption of BTCL officials, its malpractices and interference by Post and Telecommunication Ministry in BTCL's operations in furtherance of achieving political or financial ambitions.

This piece of news has already generated a great deal of interest in the world media. We would like to draw the attention of all concerned to the story with reference to the above-mentioned news item, published by International Business Times.

Zamir Telecom believes that involvement of the media is the only way to ensure that justice will be done and rule of law can be established not only in this matter but on wider issues concerning Bangladesh.
