Dream chaser Laungi Bhuiya

November 01, 2020 00:00:00

A lower caste man in India's Bihar state has fought alone for decades to bring water to their poor village for cultivation. As he tried to dig a canal to connect to a hilly stream a few miles away from the village, people including family members called LaungiBhuiya a madman. Al Jazeera reported that the man with dogged determination braved all adversities including poverty in his own family. He finally has drawn the attention of many when he was at the final stage of his journey.

This is a thrilling story that has touched many people. While pursuing the dream, LaungiBhuiya has become an elderly man. However, his story highlights the harsher part of life's lesson - hardly anyone supports a dreamer during the phase of his struggle. Also, there is no short-cut solution to life's problems.
