Dreams in Mujib Borsho

March 17, 2020 00:00:00

As celebration of the centenary of the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman begins on March 17 (Tuesday), we renew our pledge to realise his dream. It's a dream of making Bangladesh a country of 'equality, human dignity and social justice' as proclaimed by the Mujibnagar government in 1971.

'Kew amader dabaiya rakhte parba na' (no one can suppress us) was what Bangabandhu declared in his historic March 07, 1971 speech. Bangladesh has proved its potential with high growth and social sector success.

This year let's promise that the country should be made free from poverty and inequality even before it reaches the stage of a developed country in 2041. Mujib Borsho (Mijib Year) marks the beginning of a greater journey of the nation.
