Drug addiction is assuming ominous proportions in the country. A sizeable portion of our young generation has become drug addicts. A section of matured, educated and well-placed people are also known to have taken up this deadly habit.
Drug dealers have a strong network and a steady supply chain inside the country as well as outside. A section of immoral politicians and dishonest members of law enforcing agencies are also directly or indirectly involved in this trade.
Nearly 80 per cent of drug users are adolescents who should be kept away from drugs and guided to walk along the path of normal life. The parents have a decisive role to play in this regard. They must guide their children to stay away from drug menace to help them have a healthy and prosperous life.
