Drug peddling in educational institutions

The prevalence of drug dealing and consumption within educational institutions across the country is alarmingly on the rise. Regrettably, many students are becoming entangled in the drug trade, tarnishing the educational environment of their institutions. Under the influence of drugs, individuals face the heightened risk of unexpected accidents, disrupting their lives. Often, peer pressure or the desire to alleviate stress drives individuals towards drug use, eventually leading to addiction. Additionally, familial discord, parental neglect, or inadequate family support can exacerbate the likelihood of drug addiction, causing mental vulnerabilities of different order.
Since drugs are a costly substance, these students resort to various criminal activities to fund their addiction. Particularly, students contribute to social anarchy through involvement in bribery, extortion, and factionalism. Despite concerted efforts, eradicating drugs from educational institutions remains a daunting challenge. The detrimental impact of drugs on students' physical and mental well-being cannot be overstated. Limited awareness of the adverse effects of drugs lures many students into their grasp, amplifying the risk of physical debilitation, illness, disease progression, and even fatalities.
Furthermore, drug addiction amplifies mental distress, fostering anxiety, depression, and suicidal tendencies among students. Attention deficits, academic disengagement, and heightened rates of academic failure are also prevalent outcomes of drug abuse. It is imperative to foster awareness of the pernicious effects of drugs among students, parents, and teachers. Efforts to curb drug dealing within educational institutions must be intensified to safeguard the well-being and academic success of students.
