Eating healthy in Ramadan

April 24, 2019 00:00:00

The holy month of Ramadan is just around the corner. It is a very important month for the Muslims all over the world. Religion is a constant source of solace and hope in human life. It inspires everyone to lead a good life.

Ramadan is a time when we should remain extra careful about what we are eating. During Ramadan, we should eat a healthy diet. After a hard day of fasting, we should not indulge ourselves in oily and fatty food as it may disturb our digestive system and make us sick. It is not easy to avoid the temptation of street food which is unhealthy. I like to eat oily foods, but I rein in my craving as I know it will be costly for my health.

Now we are witnessing a tough summertime and we should avoid going out at noon when the sun is very hot.

We should drink adequate water and liquid in between Iftar and Sehri so that our body remains well hydrated. If we remain healthy during Ramadan, then only will we be able to strive hard to achieve the desired spiritual fulfilment.
