Eating outside during the Sehri time is not unusual in Old Dhaka; but now this trend is being practised throughout the city. The eateries in New Dhaka are attracting a good number of customers. Being encouraged, many more restaurants have joined this bandwagon. Maybe, many more restaurants in other areas will keep open their business outlets during the Sehri hours and make some good profits. Eating out in the middle of the night in a restaurant gives a feeling of adventure. One can experience the quiet, calm night of Dhaka city.
However, such adventure-loving 'night riders' should take some precautionary measures like using main roads and avoiding dark alleys. In old Dhaka security is no concern as during the Ramadan many people spend their time outside throughout almost whole night. The city dwellers often explore new avenues of entertainment. Eating out is one of the most popular ways of passing time. Eating out for Sehri has added a new dimension to our vibrant city and more and more people are trying it out with their friends and families and posting the pictures in the social networks on Internet.
