Economic challenges during Ramadan

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Bangladeshi households are facing significant economic challenges, marked by rising prices. Immediate action is necessary to alleviate these burdens and ensure a stress-free and dignified Ramadan for all. The government must implement targeted measures to stabilise prices, including increasing the sale of subsidsed goods for low-income people and rigorously monitoring market.
Efforts to improve financial literacy and encourage prudent spending habits are crucial to empowering individuals to navigate economic uncertainties.
Additionally, expanding the social safety net to support vulnerable communities is imperative. Collaboration with religious institutions can reinforce message of responsible consumption, easing demand-side pressures on prices. A comprehensive approach, encompassing government intervention, support for local industries, financial education, and collaboration with religious bodies, is essential for meeting challenges during Ramadan.
