DRIK gallery has organised an exhibition of painting of autistic children entitled "emerged from unknown". The exhibition is to continue for eight days from 7 to 14 November. The exhibition will showcase the latent talents in the autistic children and will open a window of opportunity for other such handicapped. It will show to the world that they are not a liability to any society. If extended proper love and care, they too can be integrated into the mainstream society. The DRIK Gallery authority deserves kudos for taking such a praiseworthy venture. The exhibition will throw light about autisms and dispel all misconceptions prevailing in the minds of the common people about autistic children. Many parents blame themselves for their children being autistic and suffer from mental depression. Often in our society we see people avoid autistic children and thus isolate them completely. Painting exhibitions like "emerged from unknown" will create awareness about autism in our society and such initiatives should be taken more often. I hope soon the scientists will be able to detect the exact reasons behind autism and means to cure it. Science is improving in leaps and bounds and inventing remedy of autism can not be a fantasy anymore.
