Entrepreneurial innovation in Bangladesh

A significant number of our graduates are jobless. To decrease the rate of unemployment, we need to encourage entrepreneurship. Bangladesh is ranked very low in the Global Innovation Index; it is ranked lowest in Asia.

However, our young entrepreneurs are trying their best to make changes in society. 'Parkkori' is an example. It is an app-based parking sharing platform where individuals can get parking space on the go and also rent out unused parking spot to others. This has been a great solution to parking space issue. Similarly, mobile app, Toilet Bangladesh, developed by Water Aid Bangladesh helps to locate the closet public toilet in any area.

There are many such success stories in the field of entrepreneurial innovation in Bangladesh. The government should look after these so that no innovation gets lost in the noise.
