Reports published in the newspapers on Wednesday confirmed that there are many liars, cheats and corrupt officials who are regularly drawing monetary benefits from the state, in a shameful and mean manner for a long period in the name of freedom fighters. The remedy should be simple - just sack them and put them on trial for their criminal deeds.
These impostors are immoral, criminal, opportunists and liars to begin with. With such criminals in our government machinery, malpractice and corruption has been thriving everywhere. One wonders, how many such 'thugs' are today class one or class two government officers, and in which ministries. In the private sector, such people would have been dismissed straight away.
The government should publish a list of such criminal opportunists, giving their names, designation, rank and position and the length of their service so that all can know who they are.
We are going downhill with corruption and malpractice existing and entrenched in the country's public services. These evil and criminal persons have to be rooted out -- the sooner the better. They can easily be replaced by honest and dedicated officials now serving under such criminal opportunists.
