Faridabad-Gandaria roads in bad shape
July 23, 2015 00:00:00
Faridabad-Gandaria is a well-known area in the old part of the city. About seven to eight hundred thousand people live in the area. But most of the thoroughfares here are in a bad shape. The potion of the road between Loharpool (K.B. Road) and Postagola is in a pitiable shape with innumerable ditches developed here and there. Rainwater accumulates in the ditches and causes extreme inconvenience for the people of the locality. Because of the deteriorating situation, the area lags behind other areas of the city in trade and commerce. They also do not have access to other benefits of city life and are mostly deprived of civic facilities. The authorities are aware of the problems, but unfortunately very little has been done over the years to redress the same. As a result, the people of the area are deprived of many facilities of city life though they are dwellers of the capital.
The authorities concerned are, therefore, requested to take necessary action to repair the roads on Loharpool (K.B. Road and Postagola and parts of those in Gandaria), K.B. Road, Mill barrack, Faridabad, Dhalkanagar Lane, I.G. Gate, Karimullahbagh and the road linking the Loharpool at the earliest.
