Fighting insomnia
June 27, 2022 00:00:00
Sleep is crucial to maintaining one's health. However, a number of people in Bangladesh have for long been suffering from the problem of sleep deficiency. Sleep is one of the basics needs, deprivation of which might result in serious health issues. Without it, we increase our susceptibility to a shocking array of health problems including heart disease, stroke, diabetes and depression. Sleep deprivation also triggers obesity. It is important in keeping not only our waistline trim, but ensuring a balanced brain activity, too. Insomnia can be caused by physical and psychological factors.
The possible solution of insomnia is to exercise daily, limit naps and do not eat or drink before sleep. I appeal to the elders and the authorities concerned to look into the matter. Sleep-deprived citizens cannot contribute much to the development and advancement of their country.
