Finally, the wait is going to be over as the World Cup soccer has reached its last and final stage. Germany and Argentina are now ready to lock their horn for the most-coveted sports trophy of the world.
The 2014 World Cup will be remembered for many reasons and one of these is stunning and ignominious defeat of the host Brazil in the hands of Germany by 7-1. Now people around the world are praying for their favourite team's success, and in Bangladesh, most fans are Argentine supporters who are waiting eagerly to see their favourite star Lionel Messi to help lift the cup.
German supporters too are preparing to see their favourite's victory. This is the third time both teams are meeting each other in the World Cup final - first time in 1986 when Argentina won the battle with the magic of Maradona and again in 1990 when Germany won with a controversial penalty. So now, the million-dollar question is what we are going to see in Maracana on 13th July-- repeat of 1986 or 1990? Only time will say.
In the World Cup 2010, Germany blanked Argentina by 4-0 and the bitter memory is still fresh in the minds of Argentine players and supporters alike. Bangladeshis, who are mostly divided into two groups, Brazil and Argentina, will thoroughly enjoy the mega final which, I hope, will quench the thirst of the football crazy people of the world.
