The flood-hit people of Sylhet, Sunamganj and other areas are still in need of relief materials and rehabilitation. The people who have just returned home from shelters and spent the past few days repairing their houses are now having difficult times. There is no point thinking that the flood situation is improving and we have nothing to do now. Rather, they need more support now for reconstructing their homes.
However, it does not look like the relief and rehabilitation programmes taken for the people in flood-hit districts are quite inadequate. So, we urge everyone to stand by the flood-affected people even after floods.
