Four days of heavy rains have pummelled the regions of Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and Hunan.

In neighbouring Guangxi, 13 died and one is missing as floods destroyed more than 8,700 homes and forced the evacuation of 103,000 residents, the Guangxi civil affairs bureau said in a statement.
In Hunan province, three people are dead, one is missing and some 158,000 are homeless, Xinhua said in a separate report.
