Focus on human-powered marketing

November 10, 2023 00:00:00

Bangladesh reportedly spends nearly Tk 100 billion every year on social media-based digital marketing. Foreign companies such as Facebook and Google have become main beneficiaries of these expenses. To contain this, we must rethink about social media advertisement and find ways to utilise our human resources. A company can come away from digital advisements and recruit employees for getting them engaged with target audience as well as promote their brands and products. This can free us from social media platforms and focus on human-powered marketing. If it is followed, it can create at least one million job possibilities and significantly lower unemployment.

Redirecting foreign funding to domestic enterprises is one way that can stimulate our economy. We can establish a local economic ecosystem that can support businesses and employees rather than encourage the profits of multinational corporations. Creating a people-driven market requires innovative thinking, coordinated action and human resources. Interpersonal relationships and in-person interactions can produce genuine brand experiences and customer loyalty. It uses people's innate need to connect to increase brand impressions and trust. The move to human-powered marketing can also boost our GDP. Therefore, we should invest in people and reconsider digital marketing.
