Getting rid of phone addiction

July 20, 2022 00:00:00

Mobile phones are considered the easiest mode of communication. However, excess of everything has an adverse reaction. Nowadays, smartphone is a technological device that has become an inevitable part of our life. Even schools and other educational institutions are not free from phones. Sometimes one is surprised when one sees school-going children holding phones in their hands. At such a young age, being accustomed to such phones is actually affecting the life and studies of students. When children watch other people around them using their phones continuously, it automatically develops their fascination for this magical device.

A smartphone opens the doors of communication to the world without any barrier. A child is not mature enough to differentiate between right and wrong because of which they may indulge in wrong or harmful activities. Furthermore, it has harmful effects on a child's mental and physical health. Parents and guardians should realise that their yearning for mobile phones is getting transferred to their children. If you want your child not to adore and worship their phones, then minimise the use of mobile yourself too. Remember, Bill Gates did not allow his children to have a cell phone before the age of 14.
