Good luck to Tulip Siddiq

Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, daughter of Sheikh Rehana, a British Bangladeshi Labour Party politician, former councillor in Regent's Park and cabinet member for culture in Camden Council has sought support of Bangladeshis living in the United Kingdom in her campaign for the upcoming House of Commons elections.
She made the request while addressing a gathering of expatriate Bangladeshis in a fund-raising programme at the East London auditorium. Bangladesh-born British MP and former shadow minister Rushnara Ali was present in the programme. Tulip has been nominated by the Labour Party for the Hampstead and Kilburn constituency for the elections scheduled for May 7, 2015.
Tulip joined the Labour party at the age of 16. She has worked for Amnesty International, the Greater London Authority, Philip Gould Associates, Save the Children, Oona King, Sadiq Khan and Harry Cohen. She also worked in Ed Miliband's campaign for Labour Party leadership. In 2008, she campaigned for Barack Obama in the United States.
In May 2010, she became the first Bengali woman member of the Camden Council. In July 2013, she became Labour Party's prospective candidate from Hampstead and Kilburn, following a vote by local party members. Tulip served for 2 years as a school governor at Beckford Primary School, and is currently governor at Richard Cobden Primary School. In January 2013, Tulip was named in the British Bangladeshi Power 100.
