The other day I received a text message on my mobile phone on the eve of Nirapod Matritto Dibosh. I was unaware of the day but was happy to know about the Day and its importance. Quite frequently similar messages pour into our cell phones. The concerned ministry must get congratulation for widely circulating the message and create awareness among the mass people.
However, I was dismayed a bit as the message was written in Bangla using English letters. This made it difficult to read and understand. So far, we know that the government is responsible for implementing Bangla in every sphere of our national life. Bangla message using English alphabet is ridiculous. There is also a directive of the apex court to implement Bangla everywhere so that our national language remains alive and is practised everywhere. There have been many ill attempts to distort Bangla language. It is my earnest request to the government that any such info be disseminated in Bangla; and if possible along with English.
