\\\'Gunday\\\' distorts Bangladesh history

The people across Bangladesh are greatly disturbed and furious to the newly-released movie 'Gunday' (the goons), directed by young Indian director Ali Abbas Zafar. The film has misrepresented the history of the birth of Bangladesh.

According to the film, the birth of Bangladesh was the result of the 'India-Pakistan war'. Many Indians still wrongly believe that the Liberation War of Bangladesh was solely a war between India and Pakistan. The Indian government cannot avoid its responsibility for stopping such a wrong notion that completely downplayed the heroic role of Bangladeshi freedom fighters and their extreme sacrifices. The Bangladesh government should protest strongly against such distortion of history.

The youth of Bangladesh has already created a storm over the social media like Face Book and Twitter. I hope the producer and director will change the distorted portion of the movie.
