Harmful distracting tunes

June 03, 2025 00:00:00

Music is an art form that expresses emotions through patterned and rhythmic sounds. As the world modernises, this sector of entertainment is undergoing significant transformations. While a decade ago we used to purchase cassettes and albums to listen to our favourite artists, now it is as simple as the click of a finger. With increased accessibility to music, the process of composing it has also become more affordable. Thanks to AI and various software, people's voices can be used to create catchy music. Nowadays, songs are heavily influenced by the use of instruments, filters, and visuals. In some cases, a remix can become more popular than the original version.

In this era dominated by short content and reels, we no longer have to wait to hear the best and most energetic parts of a song, which encourages creators to produce even shorter tracks. Due to the trend of short-form content, music often appears on our screens without us intending to listen to it. As a result, we frequently find ourselves repeatedly exposed to the same tunes. This repetitive sound can become ingrained in our minds, making it difficult to concentrate on tasks and ultimately overloading our cognitive capacity.
