Harmful side of short texting

Texting is a process of sending short messages using a mobile phone. Day by day, it is becoming a very common practice among social media users. However, texting has some negative impacts, too, on our linguistic ability.
People are now coming up with a new language and text style since they have started using abbreviations to express their feelings in short ways. We like to text in short terms and our brain gets accustomed to picturing words in the short term, which affects our vocabulary. Students also have an adverse effect on their schoolwork due to this short text messaging. Some students even write short forms like BTW (by the way), IMO (in my opinion), LOL (laughing out loud), THX (thanks), CU (see you) even on their examination papers.
If our youngsters rely a lot on such texting and abbreviations, it may hinder their abilities to apply grammar and words in their writing. So, we urge everyone to be careful about this issue and avoid short texting.
