Health rules being flouted at tourist spots

September 08, 2020 00:00:00

Along with many other commercial organisations, tourist and children's recreation centres have been reopened after several months of closure to prevent spread of Coronavirus. Public transports are also in operation. The decision to reopen the economy has been taken in order to allow people to make up for losses or resume livelihoods, despite the fact that the Covid-19 situation has not improved in the country.

Unfortunately, most people are defying the health rules while visiting the tourist spots as they do in public places. Thankfully, educational institutions still remain closed to protect students and stop possible infection of a large number of people. But as children and adolescents visit recreational and tourist centres, they are being exposed to risks of infection.

Therefore, it is the responsibility of the operators of the tourist centres to ensure compliance with health rules. Visitors should be asked to use facemasks and use hand sanitizers. In fact, people in general should be made properly aware of hygiene.
