The Chittagong University Central Student Union, known as CUCSU, was established in 1966 with the aim of enhancing students' education, fostering leadership, and giving them a platform to voice their concerns and rights. Unfortunately, these ideals have long been neglected. There has been no representative election, leaving students without an opportunity to advocate for their rights.
At present, CUCSU has been reduced to little more than a dining hall, occasionally serving tea after meals. One of the main reasons for this decline is the factional politics on the campus. We the students of CU urge the new university administration to revive CUCSU through elections for serving its original purpose.
