Hope for comeback in ODI series

March 23, 2022 00:00:00

Bangladesh started the three-match one-day series against South Africa very well. It was a wonderful win where the Tigers beat the Proteas by 38 runs. But in the second match, the hosts bounced back, thumping the Tigers by seven wickets in Johannesburg. In the first ODI, the Tigers scored a record 314 for seven wickets in 50 overs. The Proteas were bundled out in 48.5 overs for 276.

Now the third and last match of the series takes place today at SuperSport Park in Centurion where the first ODI took place. Can Bangladesh make it today? We are hopeful that Shakib, Tamim, Liton, Mehidy, Taskin and others will not disappoint 170 million people. We want to see a professional attitude from our cricket players. We want to get out the record of continuous defeat against the South African team in their home ground. In fact, before the ODI on March 18, Bangladesh had lost every match they played against the Proteas in South Africa. There were six Tests, nine one-day internationals and four T20 internationals. Now it is time to reverse the course. Go ahead and roar Tigers!
