Indian Super League football

The Indian Super League (ISL) has created a lot of interest among the Bangladeshi football-lovers. I hope, with the ISL, the popularity of football will increase in our country. The League has been organised like the Indian Premier Cricket League which has proved to be a money spinning, hugely popular tournament.
Now the ISL is also following the same suit and expecting similar kind of reception.  Eight teams are participating in the ISL. During the last World Cup, we saw a huge interest among the sport-loving people of our country but when the World Cup ended, we saw the football craze ceasing to exist.
Bangladeshi captain Mamunul islam has been signed by Kolkata but he was not included in a playing eleven in the first two matches but his team Kolkata won convincingly. I hope soon he will play for Kolkata and show his skill and football magic.  When I see the present state of Bangladeshi football, I feel sad as I saw the football craze in the eighties and the nineties when Abahani and Mohammedans used to rule the sports of our country. I hope Bangladesh will also be inspired with the ISL and arrange a tournament like this which will help Bangladeshi football to regain its lost popularity.
