Keeping Dhaka's air dust-free

As winter is just around the corner, dust particles have again started to pollute Dhaka city's air. Dust from footpaths, construction sites and ongoing development projects as well as black smoke from brick kilns, vehicles and other sources have been polluting the capital's air in such a way that it is now causing breathing problems.
Dhaka is frequently ranked among the top cities in the world with the worst air quality. We often wonder whether the city will ever get clean air. This thought worries us particularly in winter. So, before the season sets in, the authorities concerned should take strict measures to keep Dhaka's air dust-free by taking old vehicles off the roads, shutting down all the brick kilns in and around the capital and sprinkling water on the streets at least twice every day.
